Motivation in recovery can be difficult to maintain which is why it’s so important to know how to reignite it when it’s lost.

In recovery, we often set unrealistic expectations for both ourselves and the process as a whole.

For example, when you start recovery you may convince yourself that it’s going to be an easy, feel-good journey to fixing your relationship with food and exercise. You may expect things to improve quite rapidly with no room for error.

Unfortunately, as rewarding as recovery can be, it’s not always going to be quick and easy – there will be hard days when you question everything.
